What is NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)provides funding and support for Australians with permanent or significant disabilities.
It helps participants access the services and resources they need to achieve greater independence, improve wellbeing, and participate more fully in their community.
You can learn more on the official NDIS website.
Who is eligible for the NDIS?
To be eligible for NDIS funding, you must:
Be under 65 years old when you apply.
Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a Protected Special Category visa.
Have a permanent or significant disability that affects your daily activities.
Live in an area where the NDIS is available (such as Canberra and the ACT).
If you’re unsure about your eligibility, our team can guide you through the process of applying and preparing your documentation.
How do I apply for the NDIS?
You can apply by contacting the NDIS National Contact Centre at 1800 800 110 or by visiting ndis.gov.au.
You’ll need to complete an Access Request Form and provide supporting evidence of your disability and its impact on daily living.
New Hope Care and Support can help you understand the process, gather the required documents, and prepare for your first planning meeting.
